(maybe with a little inspiration from Chuck Berry … so t hey say) …

Aerosmith in 1978.
Michael Jackson for his 1988 film Moonwalker and 1995 album HIStory …
And then in 2017, Gary Clark Jr. released his own version,
produced with composer Junkie XL for The Justice League soundtrack …
to name but a few.

The lyrics have an evermore interesting story, evolving with each version.
A different feeling, a different audience.
The new flavour gives it a new branch on it’s own tree of longevity.
The voices change while the lyrics stay the same.
Yet the change in voice can give the lyrics new meaning.

I like the sense that the same product can have many inspirations.
Each one giving the same product an extra sense of longevity…
as the layers of inspiration are revealed.
The inspirations change while the shoe stays the same.
A shoe lasts longer with more stories to tell.
Shoes worth cherishing.
Stories worth telling.
