“With every step you take, take fully awake.”
: Sadghguru
…
The word ‘Sadhguru’ means ‘uneducated guru’.
As for the man himself,
he illustrates that you don’t have to be religious to be spiritual.
I’d never heard of him before a week or so ago,
but my own natural curiosity led me to this chat with Tom Bilyeu,
in which he offered some common-sense words of wisdom.
Natural curiosity
“I am almost hundred percent spiritually uneducated.”;
On his website he admits
By not knowing, you are open to knowing.
Accepting that we don’t know everything
encourages a natural curiosity…
which keeps us moving forward.
Scientists keep revealing new discoveries.
Doctors keep achieving new possibilities.
Authors keep inspiring with new stories.
“It’s intrinsic to human intelligence to seek…
It is the nature of human intelligence,
it naturally seeks.”
Being curious helps to make life interesting.
A key to learning.
The movement of information from one place to another,
from one person to another.
…
“The development of the mind comes through movement.”
: Maria Montessori
“Life is a movement, a constant movement in relationship…”
: Jiddu Krishnamurti
…
When he moved on to refer to cooperation, saying;
“A little bit my way,
a little bit your way,
a little bit someone else’s way.
That’s how the world should be.”
it reminded me of a post I recently read
about the Nordic art of negotiation,
and how it’s aligned with their egalitarian approach to life.
They have a word for it;
‘Lagom‘,
which means ‘just the right amount.’
It’s to this mindset that their positive
levels of happiness are being attributed.
…
My mind leaped to the words of Vivienne Westwood;
“Buy less, choose well, Make it last. Quality, not quantity.”
While these words were with reference to clothes,
I thought they could be just as easily about food,
or about talk.
Maybe it’s all about enough…
to be balanced.
…
Thank you for reading.
Have a beautiful night.
